INSPIRATION IS EVERYWHERE.

Over the last 10 years, we’ve been fortunate enough to have some of the most remarkable clients, and if you’ve been following our journey, you’ve likely seen some of the amazing campaigns featuring these titles.

Our most imPRESSive campaigns all started with a single brilliant idea–something we have no shortage of at BookSparks. In honor of #BookSparksTurns10, this month we’re looking back at some of the campaigns that imPRESSed us most and the ideas that inspired them.

 

BOOKSPARKS GILDED GALA:

Brilliant Idea: After reading Roshani Chokshi’s The Gilded Wolves, the BookSparks team was so inspired by the glitz and glamour of nineteenth-century Paris that we wanted to throw a party inspired by the book.

Application: We welcomed 2019 by throwing our very own New Year’s Eve Gilded Gala and streaming live event coverage across the BookSparks social platforms. In addition to our event, we partnered with a team of 40 beauty, lifestyle & book influencers for a social media campaign of epic proportions, contributing to The Gilded Wolves emerging as #4 on the New York Times bestsellers list.

 

JAMIE BECK’S THE PROMISE OF US:

Brilliant Idea: Inspiration comes from all over, sometimes from the most obvious of places… like the book’s cover!

Application: The gallery wall on the cover of Jamie Beck’s The Promise of Us inspired and guided us to create a “Show Us Your Gallery Wall Challenge” social media campaign. We sent the book and a set of golden frames to a team of 25 interior design & lifestyle influencers that used them to create their own gorgeous gallery walls. 

 

THE DINNER PARTY SERIES:

Brilliant Idea: “If you could have dinner with any 5 people, living or dead, who would you choose?” This question is the premise of Rebecca Serle’s The Dinner List and is what guided BookSparks to create a multi-city dinner party tour hosted by some of our favorite bookstagrammers.

Application: BookSparks created six perfectly-curated party themes, each with its own party guide, menu and printables. We then invited our readers to grab some friends and throw the ultimate Dinner List-inspired Dinner Party! In addition to the team of 50 bloggers & influencers that led our social media efforts, BookSparks sponsored 5 influencer-hosted parties in cities across the country.

 

#SRC2018

Brilliant Idea: “What if we made #SRC2018 our biggest social media campaign yet?” This is the question that would come to lead us to redefine our reading challenges and set the standard for all those that follow.

Application: The BookSparks 2018 Summer Reading Challenge marked a new era of BookSparks digital campaigns. The lovely Jessica Knoll kicked off the event as our #SRC2018 host and Kimberly Williams-Paisley was featured as our first-ever celebrity guest. With an all-star lineup featuring the likes of Caroline Kepnes and Meg Abbottt plus a content partnership with POPSUGAR, #SRC2018 will forever go down as an integral piece of BookSparks history.

 

SUSIE SCHNALL’S THE SUBWAY GIRLS:

Brilliant Idea: When you get an opportunity to host an event at SPANX HQ, the bigger the better.

Application: Longtime BookSparks author Susie Schnall hired BookSparks to help promote her latest novel, The Subway Girls. On top of a stellar digital campaign as part of #SRC2018, BookSparks partnered with SPANX to throw a Cocktails and Conversation event moderated by founder & CEO Sara Blakely at SPANX HQ to an audience of over 200 people.

 

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

  1. Kendare Blake’s One Dark Throne hit #1 on The New York Times bestsellers list (and we loved all the royalty-inspired social posts!)
  2. Andrea Jarrell’s I’m the One Who Got Away was an indie hit and a BookSparks fan favorite amongst our readers.
  3. We were inspired by the vinatage cover of Andrea Dunlop’s She Regrets Nothing that would take Instagram by storm.
  4. BookSparks was so inspired by the work that MyIntent does that we partnered with them to celebrate our 7th anniversary.
