2. A memoir worth a read

“There was definitely some thought-provoking internal dialogue, but to balance the serious nature of the self-searching, there were some hilarious pieces as well,”  Karma For Life Chick on Sara DiVello’s Where in the OM Am I?

3. In your opinion….

There were a lot of good responses to our Crumble-themed question, which was “Do you have a personal or favorite story of forbidden love?” Our favorite had to be Annie Horsky McDonnell, who shared her forbidden love for Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.

4. A sneak peek at next week’s book

We’ve traveled all the way from Big Sky Country, Montana, to the cool, serene municipality of Kincardine — just in time for Canada Day! We’ll grab the perfect spot along the pier to ooh and ahh over the fireworks and Steena Holmes’ highly-anticipated new novel, Emma’s Secret.

6. Worthy of Wuthering Heights praise

Bookworm Babblings fell in love with Fleur Philips’ novel Crumble and had this to say. “My first reaction after reading this novel was how much it reminded me of Wuthering Heights, a wonderful classic of forbidden love. This book was magnificently written with believable and likeable characters.  This is easily in my top ten favorites for 2013. A truly amazing read, I am now a huge fan of Fleur Philips and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us.”
