I’ve gotten a sneak peek at some summer releases and completely devoured them. Megan Abbott’s fascinating You Will Know Me plunges readers into the dark realities of competitive gymnastics, while The Choices We Make by Karma Brown delves into issues of surrogacy in the most beautiful and gut-wrenching of ways. I’m also reading Sally Hepworth’s The Things We Keep, a heartbreaking love story that unfolds in as assisted living facility between two young dementia patients. I’m absolutely loving it. Kleenex required!

What are you reading this summer?
Mary Kubica’s Don’t You Cry, which I’ve been saving for book tour, and Ace Atkins’s and The Innocents, the latest in his Quinn Colson series set in the Deep South. I adore all his books, which always feature strong, complicated women characters. I’m also dying to read the new Diane Arbus bio, but that probably pushes me over the limit!
