We are so thrilled to chat with Kristy Kryszczak, author of Unexpected Love. Here, Kristy shares a few facts about herself and reveals four authors that have inspired her writing!

I’ve been a reader all of my life and enjoy getting lost in a book. When thinking about what inspired me to be a writer, the following comes to mind: I’ve always dreamt up stories in my head since I was a little girl and would put ideas down on paper. I imagined story lines and acted out various scenarios of characters I created with friends. I pursued an acting career for many years because I feel these fields are interconnected. Many of my travels have inspired my writing by remembering a conversation with a stranger or the smell of a certain café hearing the clinking dishware in the background. TV shows have sparked inspiration for characters I’ve written. My relationships and adventures from living in New York City, Los Angeles and Florida have inspired settings and storylines. I’ve had a passion for writing all of my life and set out to reach my goals and dreams, so that drove me to become a writer. Seeing my friend M.C. Cerny become a successful self-published author helped me to solidify my decision to go the self-publishing route for my book. Everything is timing.

Bobbi Brown or MAC lipstick, my wallet, business cards, a pen, lip balm, iPhone, mints, La Mer hand treatment, and a Estèe Lauder jewel-compact mirror which I’ve had for years.

A pile of books, a pile of beauty and running magazines, a large glass of water, my iPhone and, at times, my laptop.

My dog Maisy Mae.
