How to Summon Your Inner #BadassWitch (Even When You Don’t Feel Like One)

If you’ve ever been in a position where you doubt your own abilities, don’t worry. It’s easy to suffer from imposter syndrome and wonder, “Am I even qualified for this?” Even when you’re confident in yourself and what you’re capable of, doubt can creep in and you may end up feeling more like a sad witch than a bad witch. Since we’ve all been there before, we have some major advice to transform you back into a #BadassWitch (yes, even when you don’t feel like one).

Decide what makes you feel like a #BadassWitch

What makes you feel unstoppable? Is it checking off a to-do list, or spending time with friends and family? Is it trying a workout class you never thought you could handle? Maybe it’s a combination of all those things, but the most important step in feeling like a #BadassWitch is determining what makes the best version of you. Once you know what things in your daily routine make you feel good, you can either focus on those activities or just include them in your schedule more often. On the other hand, it’s important to note what doesn’t make you feel badass; letting dishes pile up in the sink or saying ‘yes’ to more than you can handle. This will help you prioritize how you spend your time so you feel fulfilled and accomplished.

Positive affirmations

To get back your #BadassWitch energy, start off each day by reminding yourself of how capable you are. Take a minute when you first wake up or right before you go to bed and write down three positive affirmations like, ‘I am strong enough to overcome what is holding me back’ or a reminder of what you accomplished in the day, like ‘I finished a really big task without procrastinating.’ This will put you in the mindset that you are an achiever and a girl boss who is in total control of her life.

Turn on some tunes

Starting off your morning with a good playlist can set the whole trajectory of your day. If your music matches the go-get-’em energy you want to radiate throughout the day, you will walk out of the house feeling energized and ready to take on whatever the day may bring. Set achievable goals for each day

It’s easy to get overwhelmed with your responsibilities—especially if you’re a girl boss who takes on everything she can without thinking twice. When you feel like you’re not being productive, or the tasks on your plate are piling up faster than you can work on them, take a breath and make a list. If you start your day by running through your planner and transferring priority tasks to a to-do list, it makes the daunting work seem easier to tackle. As you finish each item on the list, cross them off for an extra boost of accomplishment.

Dress to fit your mood

Every #BadassWitch has her own style, and while you may love wearing leggings and a t-shirt most days, it’s important to dress to express. What you wear reflects the mindset you’ll have for the day, so take an extra five minutes and put together an outfit that makes you feel confident and ready to succeed. This fall, it’s all about sneakers and that perfect street style look. Try pairing a dress or a midi skirt with a pair of your favorite tennis shoes for a look that is both put-together and trendy.

Take a mental break

It can be hard to stop when you’re riding a wave of productivity, but the best way to create a sustainable pattern for success is to take a break. Whether this means stopping to sit and drink your coffee on your patio before you leave for work, or taking 30 minutes before bed to read a few chapters of a new book, taking time to focus on something other than work is invaluable to your mental health. Get out and get active

The leaves are changing, the temperatures are cooling down… is there really any better season than fall? Take advantage of the beautiful season and get outside! Lacing up your sneakers and going outdoors is not only beneficial to your physical health, but it can give you time to reconnect your thoughts and make a mental list of goals you want to accomplish in the coming days. If you want a change of pace, try a relaxing bike ride or bring your furry friend on a walk with you! The endorphins from being active will produce a positive boost and there’s nothing more badass than taking care of your all-around health.

Summon your #BestWitches

#BadassWitches, assemble! The only thing better than feeling like a badass is being surrounded by others who cheer you on through the good times and the bad. Even though it can be difficult to align your schedules with your girl gang, there’s nothing more empowering than spending time with people who inspire you to be the best version of yourself. Go out for a coffee date or find a fun activity and take some time to just enjoy life. Having time like this will give you a break from the hustle and allow you to connect with others who understand how hard it can be to be a girl on the go.
