El Paso, TX – Former heavyweight contender and fan favorite, David “Nino” Rodriguez, has released a powerful memoir about his past as a professional fighter.
He was a highly decorated, world-renowned boxer with a knockout punch. At 36-0, David was undefeated and headed for the heavyweight championship of the world, until an attempted murder left him with hundreds of stitches in his throat, a permanently scarred face, and a broken spirit.
With a no holds-barred style that reflects a boxer’s craft, David reveals the turbulent past that pushed him not only to the forefront of his sport, but also into destructive behavior, addiction, thoughts of suicide—and ultimately to redemption as an advocate for bullied kids.
