1. Dr. Andrea Bonior’s 5 Do’s and a Do-Over

Dr. Andrea Bonior was featured this week on Chick Lit is Not Dead talking about her 5 Do’s and a Do-Over. Here an excerpt:

“DO take a risk, to connect with someone awesome. In my early days as a Mom, sometimes I’d get to talking with another mother at a playground and we’d connect really well. But when it was time to leave, I’d be terrified to take any next step in keeping things going.Ā  In fact, even contemplating it made me feel like some sort of stalker, or the platonic equivalent of the slovenly guy at the bar who winks at everyone with breasts. But as The Friendship Fix lays out, there are ways to take the next step without coming on too strong, though it still requires a leap of faith! Thank goodness I finally learned to stick my neck out when it counted, though, as I now have some wonderful friendships that would never have begun if I hadn’t done so (since they were scared too!).”

2. Liz Fenton featured on Glamour’s Vitamin G blog

Liz Fenton, of Chick Lit is Not Dead, is featured on Glamour’s Vitamin G blog this week talking about fitness flops. Here is a great highlight:

“My P90X box had been sitting unopened since I forced sent my husband to buy it from some creepy guy from Craig’s List in the Walgreen’s parking lot last December. But with our vow renewal(ten years!) coming up, I knew it was time to get into shape. I needed to make sure that the ass-shaking dress that I bought for the renewal would jiggle in all the right places! But little did I know what we were in for….”

3. Xtreme Air Grand Opening in the Arizona Republic

“Xtreme Air Jump ‘N Skate Park celebrates a grand opening 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 4 at 910 E. Pecos Road, northwestern corner of Pecos and McQueen roads, just off the Santan portion of Loop 202.”

4. Kaira Rouda’s HERE, HOME, HOPE on Just Write

Just Write featured a fabulous review of HERE, HOME, HOPE this week on their blog. Here is an excerpt from the article:

“Whether you are lying on the beach, by the pool or on a lawn chair in the backyard in the next few months, Here, Home, Hope is the perfect summer companion. It’s ‘chick lit’ at its best.”

5. Kathleen Shoop’s THE LAST LETTER on Hanging off the Wire

Here is a highlight from the Hanging off the Wire review:

“A very nice debut novel for the author! The book was longer than I had anticipated, but the entire book, from cover to cover, keeps you reigned in. The characters are so alive and so real, and the time and place settings are so perfect, you can envision it all so clearly. You begin to think this story is about Katherine, but I think it is really about Jeanie. What an amazing strong character Jeanie is. I really hope Kathleen Shoop plans to publish more books, because this is a superb debut!”
