In honor of October being National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we were proud to launch the BookSparks #SpeakOut Campaign throughout the entire week. Domestic violence can happen to anyone, and we’re privileged to have shared four survivors during the week on all of our social networks and designated October 24th to donating 20% of Joshua Safran’s Free Spirit Growing Up On the Road and Off the Grid book sales to the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women. A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated, tweeted, blogged, and posted! These are just five highlights of some of the contributors to this weeks campaign: Library at the End of the Universe, Collected Miscellany, Mari Reads, My Reading Room, and Celtic Lady’s Reviews.
